
Ithica house is a stunning romantic retreat set in the hills on the north east coast of Corfu. The house offers breathtaking uninterrupted views across the sea to Albania. The house is ideal for honeymooners, artists, writers or couples seeking a peaceful and secluded holiday. The interiors are wonderfully light, and have been stylishly and sympathetically decorated to create a spacious and relaxed homely feel. The main living areas have high open rooms, thick old walls and many windows, keeping the house cool and airy in the summer months.
The property is set in olive groves, and the garden has been designed by Jennifer Gay, a member of the Mediterranean Society. There is a pool, and two sunbathing terraces, as well as three further terraces with relaxed seating areas. Ithica house is located in Rou on the north east coast of Corfu, almost directly above Agni as the crow flies. It has a large air-conditioned bedroom with super king bed and handmade mattress. There are mosquito screens on all windows except arched window. Three French windows each open on to a separate terrace with sea views. There is an en-suite wet room with heated towel rail and Hansgrohe shower. The bedroom is on the lower level with a separate entrance and no internal staircase. There is a large country style kitchen with black walnut work top. There is a large table and chairs in the kitchen and a further pergola covered seating area outside the kitchen. The sitting room opens up from the kitchen with dramatic sea views. This large airy room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and chairs, card / dining table with four chairs and wood burning stove. The TV is for DVD’s only but comes with a large DVD library. There is WiFi, iPod dock, and a book library.
The main outdoor living area and pool are through the kitchen on the opposite side surrounded by olive groves. There is a covered eating area , a barbecue, various seating areas and terraces, as well as two sets of sun loungers and a large outdoor sofa. The terraces are backed by olive groves, approximately half an acre in all.
