Villa Marga is situated on the most spectacular view point on the Gulf of Poets. The property is a refurbished ancient historical structure built towards the end of the XIII century as look out tower tower, in order to defend the inhabitants from Saracene Pirate attacks. Over the centuries the tower has been converted into a noble mansion, surrounded with halls, magnificent rooms filled with art and historical pieces.
During the Belle Epoque time, the famous opera writer Sam Benelli chose Villa Marga as his home. It is during these years that he has composed his most famous masterpieces ( La Cena delle Beffe ). The house was purchased by the current owners at the beginning of the 1950, and during the eighties, thanks to the immense love that the owner has for botany, an amazing system of replanting began with rare plants from every part of the world. A professional plan of irrigation, love and devotion, has created the most beautiful and unique botanical gardens in Cinque Terre . A spectacular bloom of multicolor azaleas, the most beautiful and complete hydrangeas lined avenue of the all Mediterranean coast, a bunch of rare palms and a fifty year old camphor tree, are the jewels of this magical place. The villa has five bedrooms and thee bathrooms. One twin room can be converted for a queen bed or triple beds. There is a fully fitted kitchen, living/dining area and outside dining on the terrace.
There is a large infinity pool with designer chairs and sunbeds in front of the sea. Under the pool there is a gym with a bathroom and shower, a big fridge and a small kitchen. The nearest village is San Terenzio which is four hundred metres from the villa and the shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
