
Located in the historical village of Governor’s Harbour, Governor House sits high on a hilltop overlooking Cupid’sBay. With stunning views, ample shade and a large garden, the property captures the essence of outdoor Caribbean living.
First built in the 1800’s the historical house was completely restored in 2009 by its new owners. The main house sleeps twelve guests in five bedrooms along with a separate cottage that can be rented with the main house, or on its on with a romantic king size four poster bed. Each bedroom has a bathroom en suite and opens on to a verandah. The top bedroom has four twin beds in it. On the ground floor is a large living and dining area spanning the length and width of the house. Out side a large verandah faces the sea, and offers two additional sitting areas and covered dining.
The house sits on two acres of mature fruit and poinciana trees creating wonderful places to relax and enjoy the views. There is dining inside, on the covered porch and by the pool where there is also a BBQ. At dusk, enjoy the varying sunsets across the Eleuthera Sound, and watch the brightest stars being to emerge. Within walking distance of the soft pink sand beaches of Eleuthera, Governor House is the perfect location for a wonderful family vacation, a special reunion or a small secluded wedding.
