
Hidden behind gates, on two lushly landscaped acres, lies a compound that includes a jewel of California modernism, a 1947 modernist landmark designed by architects A. Quincy Jones and Whitney R. Smith. On the same property but not visible to the house or vice versa is a large guesthouse. The surrounding area is residential with a park, hiking and mountain bike trails minutes away. Local shopping in Brentwood Village is ten minutes away on fashionable San Vicente Boulevard, where there are clothes shops, book, and grocery stores and mid to high-end restaurants. The nearest beaches are Santa Monica Beach, Temescal Canyon and Malibu.
The eighteen square foot house is available for summer months only. Two guesthouses on the property (not visible from the main house) are occupied by quiet, private single occupants. The pool is for the main house use only. The house is fully furnished with period furniture. The main house includes two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and another with a queen size bed, two baths (one with a custom-built large soaking tub), and a gourmet kitchen.Linens are provided and there is a caretaker on the property.
