DESERT ONE is a very precise, architectural, published modern home designed by Jim Jennings AIA in 2005. Rarely, dating back to the “Case Study” houses of the mid-century, do we find a new but timeless expression of architectural art that captures the essence of the era. At first look, is a sculpted monolith rising from the desert floor, perfectly sited and firmly rooted in a over half an acre untouched natural desert terrain. Its private and protected behind walls, Desert One is a compound around three thousand square feet of seamless indoor/outdoor living and entertaining space, executed in concrete, steel & glass and has one bedroom and bathroom. There is a small salt water swimming pool in the garden next o a dining courtyard. Constructed with exacting fit and finish and it has a great view over the San Jacinto Mountains.
