
This is a private secluded cottage set back from the river in a walled rose garden. It has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and is ideal accommodation for families. It does not have views of the River Zambezi. It is perfectly located whether you choose to enjoy the myriad of activities on offer at the Falls, simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There is access to the main lounge, dining areas and swimming pool which offer beautiful views of the Zambezi River. Extensive lodge refurbishments and new swimming pool were completed in mid 2010. The main lodge has a private helipad and small curio shop. “The Lookout” is available to promote relaxation, rejuvenation and the space to make time for yourself. With a high tech internet roaming desk and library it also has multiple decks with Zambezi River views for casual dining, private dining and reading. Innovative international cuisine include a selection of fresh vegetables from the state of the art eco garden. Enjoy dinner beside the river, on a private terrace or drift along on an anchored Sanpan in the middle of the Zambezi. A selection of therapeutic massages, beauty and aromatherapy treatments are available.

During the dry months (May through November) the spectacular curtain of water recedes to reveal the geological wonder of the basalt gorges. It is also possible to swim on the very edge of the Falls when the water level is low. An exceptional region not only visit the Falls, but to discover the Zambezi river by canoe or boat, enjoy cultural visits to schools, and museums & markets in Livingstone. Livingstone Island is located on the very edge of Victoria Falls in the midst of this thundering mass of water. Trips are organised five times per day, all year round, depending on the water level. Guests can reach the island by a short road transfer from the River House, followed by a five minute boat ride down the Zambezi River. There are many activities available including game drives, sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi River, a boat trip to Zambian side of Victoria Falls, fishing (equipment provided), lunch on a private island, Sanpan floating candlelit dinner, bird watching & guided bush walks, a walk in the gorge below the Falls, guided canoeing on the Zambezi, introduction to Simonga village and visits to Mukuni Park and the Cultural Museum tour.

Guests are advised to consult their doctor on suitable malaria prophylaxis as Zambia is a malaria region. Inoculations also advised for Zambia are diphtheria, tetanus, polio, hepatitis A and typhoid. Inoculations sometimes advised include tuberculosis, hepatitis B, rabies, meningococcal meningitis and cholera. Yellow Fever vaccination is compulsory for travel to Zambia when traveling through South Africa.
Visas are required for Zambia is traveling on UK, EU and USA passports. The local currency Zambian Kwacha now sits around 5 to the US Dollar. It is not possible to buy Kwacha outside Zambia.
