The house and garden wing have been renovated and decorated exquisitely. The courtyard benefits from an outside kitchen and an 18th century fireplace for barbecues and long summer nights. From every window and terrace, the house offers excellent views of the valley and mountainsides. Swim in the fifteen meter swimming pool which has an electric cover and a thermal exchange heating system. Landscaped gardens, a tennis court, a sheltered courtyard garden and a veriety of terraces provide plenty of options for outdoor living and dining.

The living space in the main house runs the length of the building; everything has been carefully considered. The contemporary feel of the open plan ground floor is complemented by 18th century fireplaces and the ancient wine tanks. Open fires as well as underfloor heating ensure the house is always cosy. The garden wing has a less formal sitting and games room as well as a luxurious, casual snug and play area to get away from the crowd.

There are six double bedrooms and separate two-bedroom staff quarters. In the main house, there are four bedrooms on the first floor with beamed ceilings and en suite marble bathrooms. The other two bedrooms are located in the garden wing which leads directly off the first floor, situated on either side of the large sitting room. Both overlook the swimming pool and garden.

The four bedrooms on the first floor all have en suite marble bathrooms; two have baths and all have walk in showers. The other two bedrooms in the garden wing both enjoy walk-in showers.

A live-in couple are onsite for daily housekeeping and cleaning. Additional services such as extra housekeeping, chef, butler and driver are available upon request, as are transfers from airports in the South of France.

There are a number of excellent beaches within easy reach, such as La Franqui and Leucate-plage, that still retain a certain charm and offer excellent white sand as well as wind and kite surfing. Further south, there are nice beaches from Collioure towards the Spanish border with local villages of great character and charm.There are many places nearby where you can swim. Above the village of Labastide is a pristine lake surrounded by trees and short grass. At Ribaute you can swim in the waterfalls under the medieval bridge. The hill sides are covered with easy trails from which to enjoy the splendid scenery and explore the ancient ruins that dot the area.
