Portugal Modern dates back to 2005 when the globetrotter owners discovered that there were also deserted beaches in Portugal and bought twenty two hectares of land. The house is just over one hour from Lisbon airport and is a modern villa in a country setting, next to a long stretch of pristine and unpopulated beaches. There are ‘Bicas’ which are springs of water in the rice fields below the house. The property was further developed for young children so provides some unusual activities for them such as jumping in the elastic bed, hiding in the tree-house, long bike rides, adventurous rides in the 4-wheel quad bike to watch the sunset in the rice fields and much more. There is a housekeeper twice a week who will bring fresh fish which they cook beautifully. The gardeners will come once a week and help with picking vegetables from the garden. The pool man will come once a week. The beach and towns are fifteen minutes by car and there is gold half an hour away.
