Just as the Dukes of Richmond have hosted hundreds of parties here on the estate throughout the last three hundred years, The Hunting Lodge offers a rare opportunity for you to play host, with the Lodge butler and chef at hand to look after your every need allowing you and your guests plenty of time to enjoy yourselves.

The Duke, like all English aristocracy, was renowned for spending far more time and money on his hounds and horses than on his friends and guests. Dogs are very important here, having provided much of the inspiration and forming part of the heritage and history of the building.

When you step inside the lodge for the first time everything already feels familiar. The cosy interiors instantly help you to shrug off the outside world and unwind. As your butler whisks your luggage off to your rooms, your dogs will already be searching out their favourite basket by the open hearth with its roaring fire. Meanwhile, you can settle into an armchair with tea and a toasted crumpet or set off to discover the other delights of your home on this magnificent estate.

Each of the ten rooms is entirely unique and furnished with hand picked pieces that you will not nd anywhere else. Here you will find the peace and solitude to nod off after a busy day.

Ringing with the sound of laughter or the clinking of glasses, the magnificent dining room is a focal point at the lodge. Here you can entertain at your leisure, with deliciously simple dishes or more intricate menus prepared by your own private chef. Carefully selected wines provide the perfect accompaniment to the meats, cheeses and other fresh, seasonal produce that arrives at the pantry door from the estate’s organic lowland farm. As always, your butler is on-hand to cater for your every need as you enjoy a night in the company of your guests.

The Estate provides plenty of inspiration to fill your days: whether you wish to experience driving the renowned motor circuit, take to the skies with a flying lesson or helicopter flight alongside a Spitfire, play a round of golf on one of our championship courses, spend an afternoon clay-pigeon shooting, or walking the stunning park and woodland, you will find countless sporting activities right on your doorstep.
