Just the name California conjures up images of driving a convertible up the Pacific Coast Highway passing spectacular coastline or taking a road trip in a muscle car through the desert. From Santa Monica to Mendocino via Palm Springs you too can live this movie. A year round destination depending on where you want to be. The High Desert is best from late March to June and then again when the heat recedes in September. Palm Springs has its own micro climate and is a year round classic, although from July to September its a bit too hot. Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles are great to experience or stay in any time, as is Malibu. Traditionally Malibu can be foggy between June and the end of August so somewhat cooler than expected for the time of year. Further north the climate is more temperate and there is a rainy season from October to April.
